Description
Beverley House, formerly known as The Turk's Head Inn, is an early 19th-century house located on East Street in Weymouth. It is part of a row of buildings and features channelled rendering on the front, while the rear wall is constructed of rubble. The house is wide and tall, consisting of three storeys with a basement and three windows, all of which are sash windows. The second-floor windows have 16 panes with cambered heads and a keystone, while the ground and first floors have 16-pane windows with radial heads set in plain arched reveals. The entrance is marked by a central flush door flanked by very narrow side-lights and topped with a plain fanlight, accessed by three stone steps. There is a stack to the right of the building. The rear wall, made of rubble, features large flush quoins. Additionally, there is a large 20th-century dormer above the 16-pane sashes, which is dressed in brick. The interior has not been inspected.
