Rose Cottage and St George's Cottage are a pair of 18th-century cottages located at the left end of a terrace on West Street in Corfe Castle. They feature rubble stone walls and stone slate roofs, with stone end stacks that are raised in brick. The cottages are two storeys high with attics.
No. 42 has a partially glazed door, and the ground floor includes one casement window with a central horizontal glazing bar beneath a relieving arch. The first floor has two similar casement windows that have been renewed. No. 44 has a glazed door set under a segmental arch, with a fixed window on the ground floor beneath a relieving arch. The first floor features one horizontally sliding sash window with a central horizontal glazing bar. Each cottage is topped with a gabled dormer. There is also a lean-to garage at the left end of the terrace.
