Description

No. 48A on West Street is a house that is attached to No. 48 at the rear. It dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century and features rubble stone walls with hipped slate roofs and brick end stacks. The building has two storeys. The ground floor includes a part-glazed panelled door and four sashes with glazing bars, two of which fill a former carriage entrance, along with one small casement that has a central glazing bar. The first floor also has four sashes with glazing bars. This property is included for its group value and is a National Trust property.
