Description

Nos. 98 and 100 Westgate comprise a cottage and a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of dressed sandstone with a stone plinth. The roofs are covered with concrete tiles, and feature stone gable copings and three brick stacks. The buildings are two storeys high, with three late 19th-century sash windows on each floor, featuring painted stone sills. A four-panelled door is located to the right-hand side of No. 98, accessed by two stone steps. A boarded door serves No. 100, which is reached by three stone steps. The cottages are entered from a common cross-passage.
