Description

Holly Garth and Holly House, originally a single dwelling and now divided into two properties, were built in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of dressed sandstone, with No. 62 painted, and has a Welsh slate roof with stone ridge and gable copings. There are three brick stacks, two of which are rendered. The building is two storeys high and originally four bays wide, with a one-bay addition at No. 60. A doorway is located in the second bay, featuring a late 19th-century timber surround of pilasters and entablature; it contains a six-panelled door with the upper three panels glazed, and a rectangular fanlight that has been blocked. Late 19th-century canted bay windows are present on the ground floor, and sashes with painted stone sills are found on the first floor, except in the second bay. Rear extensions on the north side are not considered to be of architectural significance.
