Description
This is an earlier 19th century single-storey, three-bay cottage located on Easdale Island. The cottage has a rectangular plan and is constructed from harled whinstone and slate rubble.
On the northeast (principal) elevation, there is a boarded timber door in the center, a window with a projecting stone cill to the right, and a smaller window set within a recessed bay to the left. The southwest (rear) elevation features two small windows, both with projecting stone cills. The southeast (side) elevation displays a harled gable end, while the northwest (side) elevation includes an outshot chimney at the center, which is capped below the apex of the gable, and a flat-roofed coal store to the left.
The cottage has timber plate glass fixed pane and hopper windows, along with modern replacement slates and large modern rooflights on the rear. The interior was not seen in 2001.
Additionally, there is a garden wall made of slate rubble with rounded corners.
