Description

Manor House Farmhouse is a farmhouse that consists of two sections, with the rear range dating from around 1640 and the front built in the 18th century. The front, which faces the church, is constructed from ironstone ashlar and features a hipped Welsh slate roof, with a stone stack at the right end. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, with a three-window range. The central entrance is adorned with a Tuscan porch and a 20th-century six-panelled door with an overlight. Flanking the doorway are two tripartite sash windows, while the first floor has two similar sash windows with one in between.

The 17th-century range facing the road is made of ironstone ashlar at the front and coursed ironstone rubble at the right end, topped with a Welsh slate roof and stone coping on the right. It has two twin-shafted stone stacks on the ridge and at the right end. This section has a two-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic, featuring a three-window range. An off-centre door to the left has a plain wood surround and overlight, flanked by two sash windows, one of which has a keystoned architrave. There is a two-light casement window to the right and three sashes in the attic. A gabled dormer on the left has a small window with a hood mould, label stops, and stone copings, while the right gable has a blocked two-light stone mullioned window.

Inside the 17th-century part, there is 17th-century panelling around the fireplace in the current kitchen and the room to the right of the entrance, along with chamfered beams.
