Description

The Old Cottage is likely an early 17th-century house. It has a painted stone rubble plinth, timber framing to the north with a rendered infill, and a thatched roof in two levels, with brick ridge stacks. The building is single-storey and attic, with a three-window range to the left and a two-storey, two-window range to the right. A 20th-century door is located on the left return. Most of the windows are three-light casements, with a two-light casement on the first floor right. The left side has irregular casement windows. The interior of the house was not inspected. Attached to the right is an 18th-century cob wall, approximately 2 metres high and 20 metres long, with a thatch coping.
