Description

St Amand’s House is an early 18th-century house with an addition built in the mid-18th century. The house is constructed with a painted brick plinth and roughcast walls, likely on brick, with painted brick to the right. It has an old plain-tile hipped roof and a brick ridge stack located to the right of the centre. The house is two storeys and an attic, with a four-window front. A six-panel, part-glazed door is located to the left of centre, set within a painted wooden architrave surround and a flat hood supported by brackets. All windows are 12-pane unhorned sashes. A rendered fleur-de-lys is positioned between the first-floor windows. The early 18th-century section of the house has coved eaves. There are two gabled dormers with two-light casements in the roof. The ground floor on the left side of the interior features early 18th-century fielded panelling.
