Description

Rosebank is a house, likely dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble with a 20th-century tile roof and has two brick stacks on the ridge and to the right. The house has a three-unit plan and is single storey with an attic. A 6-panelled door is located on the left, set within a round-arched recessed doorway with a moulded flat hood. To the right of the entrance are two 20th-century casement windows with wooden lintels. Two 2-light metal casement windows in the attic also have wooden lintels and wrought iron casement fasteners. The right end of the house features a 2-light and 3-light stone mullioned window with fragmented remains of hood moulds and label stops. The garden front has two blocked stone-framed windows on each floor, arranged in line with the ridge stack. These windows include two 2-light metal casements with wrought iron fasteners. Inside, the kitchen has stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, plank doors, and a cellar is also present.
