Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It likely has a core dating from the 15th century, with remodels from the 17th and 19th centuries. The building is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a stone slate roof with diminishing courses at the front, while the rear has a 20th-century tile roof. There are three stone stacks located on the ridge and ends of the roof. The structure is T-shaped and consists of a single storey plus an attic.

The main part of the farmhouse has a pointed arched doorway at the center, which features continuous mouldings and beast head jamb stops. This doorway, likely from the 14th century, has probably been re-set. To the right of the doorway is a bay window, and to the left is a sash window. The attic has five windows, mostly sash types, and there is a 16th or 17th-century wood mullioned window at the right end. The kitchen at the rear right has stone steps on the exterior that lead to a granary above. The left wing has an entrance on the left side, with 19th and 20th-century sash windows on both the ground floor and attic. There is a trefoil-headed window in the left side wall and a stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stops above the attic's Drawing Room. Additionally, there is a three-light stone mullioned window in the cellar of the left rear wing.

Inside, the 15th-century hall range features smoke-blackened timbers and arched braces, while the left wing includes a room with a moulded beam, a stone flag floor, and a runnel. The kitchen has a chamfered beam and plank doors, and there is a 17th-century fireplace in the rear wing.
