Description
No. 2 Market Square is a shop and dwelling dating from the early to mid 19th century. The building features part-rendered brick with some stucco dressings and has a Welsh-slate roof with brick end stacks. It has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall. The front, which is rendered, has a three-window arrangement with 4-pane sashes that have stucco architraves on the upper floors, and the first floor features cornices on consoles. There is a 20th-century shop front with a vehicular entrance on the extreme right. The roof is of two spans, and the rear is constructed of brick with additional sashes. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
