Description
The Old Sweet Shop is a house that was previously a shop, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and has a 20th-century tile roof. The building features one brick end stack set on a stone base and has a two-unit plan. It stands two storeys high with an attic. On the ground floor, there is a three-light casement window with a stop-chamfered wooden lintel, while the first floor has two three-light casement windows, each with wooden lintels. The shop front includes a bay window with a tiled canopy and there are two doorways. Inside, the building has stop-chamfered beams and a fireplace with a bressumer.
