Description

St. Valentines is a house dating from the 17th century, situated on the south side of Netting Street in Hook Norton. The house is constructed of coursed rubble ironstone with a thatched roof, and features a brick chimney on a stone base. It follows a three-unit plan, with a single storey and attic. The windows are wooden casements, with 2, 3, and 4 lights, and have stop-chamfered wooden lintels. A 20th-century door is located to the right of the centre of the facade, also bearing a stop-chamfered wooden lintel. An inscribed compass stone is set into the right-hand wall. The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
