Description

Netting Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, located on Netting Street in Hook Norton. The structure is built of coursed ironstone rubble, with ironstone quoins and a 20th-century plain tile roof. A large stone stack sits on a stone base. The house follows a two-unit baffle entry plan, and is single-storey with an attic. It features 2- and 3-light wooden casement windows on the ground floor and in the attic. Original wooden lintels are present above the front door and the window to the left of the door. A rectangular staircase projection has been added to the right of the 20th-century porch. Inside, the cottage has stop-chamfered beams and a fireplace with a large bressumer.
