Description
Whites the Butchers is a house and shop dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a plain-tile roof with stone end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, displaying a four-window range. The central entrance consists of a part-glazed door with an overlight, flanked by 19th-century shop windows. There are canted bay windows on the left and right, which contain sash windows. The first floor features horned sash windows, all equipped with timber lintels. The eaves are moulded wood, and the gables are stone-coped with kneelers. The interior has not been inspected.
