Description
No. 12 High Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is built of coursed squared ironstone and features an old plain-tile roof with brick stacks at the ends. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with a flat-arched head, sheltered by a straight hood supported by brackets, and is accessed by three semi-circular stone steps. The ground floor has three-light casement windows, while the first floor has a three-light casement on the left and a two-light casement above the door, all featuring flat-arched heads. The building is adorned with quoins, chamfered stone eaves, and stone-coped gables with kneelers. There is a 20th-century two-storey extension to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
