Description

No. 3 and its railed area is a terrace house, now a hotel, dating to around 1816, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of painted brick with a slate roof. It rises to five storeys and incorporates a basement, featuring a modillion eaves cornice and an iron balustrade to the roof, with stacks positioned to the left and right. A large canted bay extends across the second, third, and fourth floors and contains metal casements. Two French windows are present, along with a partially glazed arcaded verandah with a boarded balustrade. The ground floor and basement also feature a canted bay with a glazed door situated to the right of a flight of seven steps. A boarded door leads to the basement. The building has spearhead railings. It is included on the list for its group value.
