Description
No. 81 Addington Street is a house built in the 1820s, featuring painted and rendered brick with a slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has a hipped roof with a stack on the right side, along with a cross-hipped rear wing. The second floor has a glazing bar sash window, while the ground and first floors feature a two-storey canted bay with glazing bar sashes and moulded panels between the two floors. There is a six-panel door leading to the rear wing on the left return, which has a flat hood supported by brackets, along with an adjacent wooden casement window on the left return. The building is depicted in Collard and Hurst's 1821 plan of Ramsgate, although its elevation has been altered since then.
