Description
No. 2 is a terrace house, now a hotel, dating to around 1816 in Ramsgate. It is constructed with channelled render and has a slate roof, with stacks at the rear. The building is four storeys high and includes a basement. A parapet tops the structure. The front features two metal casement windows on the second and third floors. On the first floor are two French windows with a tented verandah supported by metal piers with a wrought-iron rail featuring a geometric pattern. A canted bay window extends across the ground floor and basement, featuring plate glass windows and a glazed door to the right. This door is flanked by a semi-circular fanlight within a pilaster surround, leading up a flight of seven steps via simple iron rails.
