Description

The Oast Group of Somerden is a timber-framed building dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. It has two storeys and features one window. On the left side, there is a single round oast from the 19th century, and on the right, a 19th-century ridge-roofed building with two oast cowls rising from the roof. The upper floor is tile hung, while the lower part is made of brick, with old brick used in the central section. All the roofs are tiled. The interior of the barn is said to have been a house from around 1600, which includes a smoke bay.
