Description

The Old Eaton Oast is an 18th and early 19th century oasthouse, likely with stowage from the 18th century, and restored in the 20th century. The ground floor is built of red brick, while the first floor is weatherboarded with tile-hanging to the road frontage. The roof is old tiled and half-hipped. The front elevation features one 18th-century casement window with diamond-shaped leaded lights, a loading door, and an 18th-century plank door. More recent casement windows are present on the right-hand side elevation. At the rear is a square brick oast with a pyramidal roof and a wooden cowl. An early 19th-century English bond brick extension with a tiled roof adjoins the building on the left.
