Description

North Cottage is a restored cottage from the first half of the 16th century. It has two storeys and three windows. The high-pitched tiled roof is half hipped on the right side over a bay that may have been added later. There is a compound offset old chimney stack at the left end. The first floor features modern tile hanging, while the ground floor is made of brick. The cottage has modern casements and a gabled porch. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace and much exposed timber that shows joiners' marks. The roof has side purlins with wind braces. There is a modern extension on the right side and a conservatory.
