Description
Sandhole Cottages is a 16th century structure that has been recased and is now divided into two dwellings. The building is two storeys high and features three irregularly placed windows. It may have originally been a hall house, as indicated by its high-pitched hipped tiled roof, which has a ridge that is brought down as a lean-to. There is a returned gable on the left side. The building has a compound ridge stack with a cornice that features several planes. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor is made of red brick with blue headers. The windows are 19th century casements, and there are two plain plank doors.
