Description

Forge Cottage is a restored cottage that dates back to the 16th century or earlier. It is a two-storey structure with timber framing and has undergone extensions. The garden front features a high-pitched tiled roof that is half hipped on the left side. On the right side, there is an offset end chimney surrounded by a pent kitchen extension. A modern two-storey gabled projection includes a tall five-light window and pent side extensions. The exterior is finished with weatherboarding and brick. The entrance front has two windows, with tile hanging above and brick below. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace with old incised plaster above it, and the interior showcases much heavy exposed timber.
