Description
Brook House is a restored cottage that dates back to the 16th century or earlier. It features elevations made of square stone blocks with tile hanging above. The building is two storeys high and has a ridge tile roof with a returned gable end over a projecting wing on the right side. The windows are modern lattice casements set in wooden frames, and there is a modern oak door with a tiled hood above it. The side elevation facing west displays exposed timber framing with brick infilling. Access to the property is via a light timber footbridge that crosses a stream.
To the right of the house, there is an ornamental brick and stone screen wall that includes an oval gateway with a wrought iron gate. A similar wall on the left side features a double wrought iron gate.
