Description

Spring Ardens is an 18th century or earlier row of cottages, later restored and now used as a single house. The property stands on the north side of High Street, Westerham. It is two storeys high with three windows. The roof is tiled, with a half-hipped design. The brick ends are painted, with painted pilasters, and the first floor is clad in mathematical tiles. The ground floor is painted rubble with brick dressings, while the first floor has 19th-century casement windows with transoms; the central window has side lights. A canted bay window with a moulded cornice and 19th-century sash windows sits in the centre of the ground floor. Flanking these are 18th-century sash windows with glazing bars. A 19th-century door is set within a heavily quoined doorway on the right return.
