Description

These are 17th-century timber-framed cottages, located on the north side of High Street, Westerham. The row comprises numbers 1 to 4. The cottages have two storeys. Number 2 has two windows, while the others each have one. They are characterised by a high-pitched, tiled roof with rebuilt chimneys and coved, plastered eaves. The front facade has been altered, featuring a tile-hung first floor and a painted brick ground floor. Windows are 19th-century, consisting of three-light casements with a single horizontal bar. The cottage doors are plain plank doors, set within box frames and sheltered by segmental arches.
