Description

Old Rose House is a 18th century building located on the south side of High Street in Westerham. It features a symmetrical brick facade with two storeys, concealing an older timber-framed structure. The building has a ridge tile roof with an end projecting stack, eaves, and gutter. There is a random stone plinth and a brick band. The central entrance consists of a 19th century glazed and panelled double door, which is topped by a projecting hood with architrave moulding. The house has five sash windows with bars set in moulded frames. The side elevation is made of random stone with red brick dressing and includes a projecting stack, while the gable ends are tiled. A stone plaque on the building displays the date 1665.
