Description

Walter’s Green Farm Cottage is an early 17th-century, two-storey, two-window timber-framed cottage situated in Penshurst. The cottage has a high-pitched tiled roof, half-hipped on the right side. The first floor is tile-hung, with old timbers visible at the angles. The ground floor is constructed of red brick. It features 19th-century one-bar casement windows. A modern door replaces the original. The rear roof slopes low and includes a tall chimney shaft with a rebuilt cornice. The interior retains much exposed timber.
