Description
Kibbles Green Cottage is a likely 16th-century cottage that stands two storeys high and features two windows. It has a high-pitched tiled roof that is half-hipped on the right side and a compound ridge stack on the left. The first floor is now tile hung, while the ground floor is constructed of early 19th-century red brick with blue headers. The first-floor windows are half dormers set under small gables that break the eaves, and they feature 18th-century or early 19th-century iron lattice casements.
There is a modern one-storey extension projecting to the left and a one-storey timber-framed pent extension on the right, with some visible timber framing. The rear of the cottage is similar but irregular. A plate glass window has been inserted to protect a 16th-century window that has close-set diagonal wood mullions. The right extension includes a modern porch and door. The left gable end displays exposed framing with plaster filling. Inside, there is an inglenook and an old fireplace upstairs, along with complete exposed timbering, old floorboards, and bricks.
