Description
Bellmans Green is a probably late 16th century timber-framed cottage. It features a high-pitched tiled roof with an end chimney and stands two storeys tall. The cottage has one window on the first floor and two windows below. The ground floor projects on the left side where the roof sweeps low. The exterior is rendered above, with some brick below, and an old ground cill is visible over a rubble plinth. The first floor windows include a tall dormer that breaks the eaves, and the modern square-paned casements are complemented by an old plank door. There is a lean-to extension on the right side. Inside, there is much visible timber, an old unglazed window with diagonal mullions, and an inglenook fireplace.
