Description
Medhurst Row Farmhouse is a restored 15th-century hall house located on the south side of Four Elms Road in Edenbridge. The building is two storeys high and features three irregularly placed windows. It has a high-pitched, hipped gabled roof that has been renewed with old tiles, and there are stacks at the ridge and left end. The exterior showcases exposed framing with plaster filling, while the ground floor is constructed of brick. The windows include 19th-century and small modern casements, some of which are leaded, along with one 18th-century leaded casement. Inside, there is a 16th-century inglenook fireplace and a first-floor tie beam with a pronounced arch that supports a crown post. The timbers are very stout, and some old wattle and daub can be found upstairs.
