Description
Prings is a 15th-century hall-house that has been converted into a house and restored in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with plastered infilling and some red brick additions. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, with a stack on the ridge to the left and a gabled dormer located off-centre to the right. The building has a Wealden hall-house plan, although the storeyed 'ends' have been partially removed on both sides. It is 1½ storeys high and has an irregular front with four windows, including projecting bays at each end. There is a transomed hall-window with diagonal glazing bars and a four-centred arched doorway to the left. Inside, a tiebeam has been removed beneath a truncated crownpost during the flooring of the hall.
