Description
The Cedars is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of yellow brick, with red brick and some stone dressings. The building features a parapet with a stone string and coping, topped by a hipped pyramidal roof that has a central double dormer and stacks on the side slopes. The house is two storeys high with attics and consists of three bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes with gauged flat arches; those on the ground floor are set in shallow recesses and have gauged round arched heads with stone impost blocks. There is a central porch that includes a panelled door, a stone cornice at the parapet, a flat roof, and an irregular quasi-pediment behind the cornice. The sides of the porch have blocked openings that resemble the ground floor windows.
