Description
Granary Cottage is a 17th-century granary that has been converted into a cottage, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and features a concrete tiled roof that is hipped to the right. There is a catslide extension on the right side, which includes a large sloped chimney stack. The cottage has an irregular arrangement of windows, with two on the first floor and four on the ground floor. All the windows are casements, with some being sliding, except for a double round-headed glazing bar sash window located second from the right. There is a boarded door on the first floor at the extreme right, and the main entrance is also on the right side.
Inside, the cottage features a wattle and daub partition on the first floor and a queen-post side-purlin roof. Granary Cottage is adjacent to Gardeners Cottage on the left and is included in the listing for its group value.
