Description
Scarborough House is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century and has been clad in the 19th century, with restoration and extensions made in the 20th century. The building is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a plain tiled hipped roof. There is a single shafted stack located at the center of the roof ridge. The house has two storeys, featuring a jetty that overhangs the ground floor, which is boarded. The windows are arranged irregularly, with two on the first floor and three on the ground floor, all of which are plain 19th-century casements. The entrance is located at the rear. To the south, there is a low gabled wing with a very tall end stack, and to the north, there is a single-storey wing.
