Description
The Church of All Saints is a Grade I listed building located on High Street in Wouldham. It dates from around 1200, with additions and alterations made in the 13th, 14th, and 15th centuries. The church features a northwest tower, a nave, north and south aisles, and a chancel. It is constructed of ragstone rubble with some dressed stone dressings and has plain tiled roofs. The tower is three stages high, with strings that divide the stages, a crenellated parapet, and an octagonal stair turret on the southeast side. There are three windows in the north aisle and five in the south aisle, showcasing simple 14th and 15th-century designs, along with a 19th-century timber gabled porch on the southwest. The chancel has two windows, including a 13th-century window. Inside, the church has a three-bay south arcade with remnants of a 12th-century window above the central arch, and a four-bay north arcade with slightly chamfered arches. The south side of the chancel features internal arcading, and in the south chapel, there are 15th-century kneelers with square-headed panels arranged in two tiers.
