Description

Chapel Houses, now three cottages, originated as a chapel dating back to the 14th century, with subsequent remodelling occurring in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. The building is constructed of flint and stone, with rendered surfaces and red and yellow brick dressings, and includes a brick addition to the north. It has a gabled tiled roof punctuated by two brick stacks at the ridge, and three gabled dormers. The two-storey structure has an irregular fenestration pattern of three windows on each floor. A section of the stone window surround, formed as a two-centred arch, is visible on the south front. The chapel of St. Laurence was suppressed in 1547.
