Description
Paddlesworth Old Farmhouse is a house, now used as a wagon-store, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red and blue brick, featuring a deep plinth and a plat band. The building has a wooden bracket-eaves cornice beneath a cement-tiled hipped roof. It stands two storeys high with a regular five-window front. The windows are glazing bar sash types, set in open boxes with gauged heads.
At the center of the façade, there is a projecting flat-topped porch, which is stone-coped and has double panelled doors framed by a stone architrave that includes egg and dart ornamentation. The porch is topped by a flat cornice hood with a moulded bracket keystone. At the time of the last survey, the building was noted to be in poor condition, with wide garage entrances at each end and a lean-to extension at the rear.
