Description

The wall to the east of Birling Place is a structure of uncertain date, but it features a gateway dating from around 1450, which may have been re-used. It is constructed from random rubblestone and topped with brick coping. At the south end, there is an arch with a three-centred roll-moulded and decorated opening. The wall stands 7 feet high and extends 20 yards in length.
