Description

This structure is a wall, gate, and gatepiers located 20 yards north of Wrotham Place, dating from the 17th century with later patches. The wall connects stable buildings to the north-east and north-west of Wrotham Place. It is made of red brick on a wide plinth, constructed in English bond with some sections in header bond. The wall features a sloping brick coping and a parapet, standing 4 feet high and rising to 5 feet at the eastern end. There is an off-centre gateway to the right, flanked by small piers topped with globes. The wrought-iron gates, designed in the Edwardian Baroque style, date from around 1910.
