Description
The Bull Hotel is a public house with a front dating from the mid-18th century, featuring an early 19th-century bay on the right that conceals a 17th-century framed structure behind it. The building is constructed of rendered brick set on a painted random stone plinth. It has a hipped plain tiled roof, which is older on the left side, and wide projecting eaves with a plastered soffit. The hotel is two storeys high and has a regular front with four window openings, which contain glazing bar sashes.
There are two entrances, both off-centre; the door on the left is half-glazed and panelled, framed by a flat pilastered doorcase with a fluted surround. This entrance features a fanlight and an open-pedimented entablature with a columned porch. The door on the right is a 20th-century half-glazed door with a flat projecting hood supported by brackets. To the right, there is also an early 20th-century single-storey extension.
