Description
Sandstone Cottage and The Bower House is a house, now divided into two, dating from around 1720. It is constructed of red brick with blue headers, featuring a red brick plinth and platband. On the left side of the ground floor, a shop window has been replaced with 20th-century red brick. The building has moulded eaves beneath a plain tiled roof, which includes two hipped dormers. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has an irregular arrangement of three windows on both floors. There are two doorways in the centre; the right doorway has a panelled door with a flat hood supported by brackets, while the left doorway is glazed, both of which are from the 20th century.
