Description
Stone House, originally shown on the Ordnance Survey map as Stone Cottage, is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of finely jointed coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched 20th-century tile roof with brick end stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The central entrance includes a wide plank door set within a moulded wood door-frame and is topped by a gabled rustic porch. On either side of the entrance are a two-light wood casement window and a three-light wood casement window. The first floor has two three-light casements and one two-light wood casement, all with wood lintels, some of which have wrought-iron springs. To the left, there is a single-storey extension with a red tile roof. The interior has not been inspected.
