Description
The Weavers and shop premises to the right is a pair of shops that were originally two houses, dating from the 16th century with 18th and 19th century alterations. The building has a plinth made of brick and rubble stone. The ground floor features weatherboarding at the extreme left, with glazed tiles and painted surfaces to the left of center. It has a plain tiled roof, which includes a return gable to the right of center with 20th century bargeboards. There is a central ridge stack and one flat-headed dormer to the left of center. The building is two storeys high, with an attic on the left side only, and has irregular fenestration with five windows on the first floor. The extreme left has a single shop front, while there are double shop fronts to the right of center and at the extreme right. A central glazing bar sash window is present, along with casements on the first floor. To the right of the central sash window, there is a blocked doorway with a circa 1820 reeded surround. Additionally, there are three 20th century half-glazed doors located to the right of the extreme left-hand shop front, in the center of the left of center shop front, and in the center of the right-hand shop front.
