Description

Riverside Cottage is a house dated 1721, with later 19th-century additions. The house has a hipped tile roof with two gabled dormers. The main part of the house is constructed of red and blue brick and has two storeys with three windows on the upper floor and two windows on the ground floor. The windows have segmental arched heads with modern glazing. A brick band separates the ground and upper floors. Above the centre of the house is a datestone inscribed "I (over) W E 1721". This sits above a 19th-century door, which has a simple wooden surround and hood. To the left of the main house is a section in similar style, with one window above one. Some knapped flint is visible on the side of this section. The right-hand section features one window above a window with two lights, and has a plain door.
