Description

Clare Cottage is an 18th-century cottage with one storey and attics, located on the north side of The Street in Barham. The right half of the cottage has been rebuilt. The left portion features a half-hipped tile roof and a tile-hung gable end, constructed from brick. It has two gabled dormers and the ground floor includes three windows with brick header arches and casements that have glazing bars, although some are modern. There is a plain door. The rebuilt right half matches the original construction and has two similar gabled dormers from the late 19th or 20th century. The three windows on this side are modern and have flat cement heads.
