Description
Barham Court Farm Barn is an early 18th-century threshing barn that is currently used as a store. The barn features an aisled timber frame and is clad in red brick with a random bond pattern, set on a deep brick plinth. It has a steeply pitched hipped roof covered with peg tiles. The north side has an original hipped tiled cart entrance supported by wooden brackets, while the south side has a later gabled weatherboarded cart entrance. Some wooden soffit boards have survived. There is a 20th-century breezeblock addition to the southeast, which is not of special architectural interest.
Inside, the barn consists of three bays with upright posts that have a typical 18th-century cut profile at the jowls, diagonal windbraces, and a roof featuring collar beams and rafters without a ridgepiece. There is a good series of carpenters' marks visible. The west end has an inserted 20th-century floor.
