Description
The Old Rectory Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It consists of two parallel ranges and is constructed from stone rubble with ashlar dressings. The south wall is pebbledashed, while the north wall of the rear range features a brick gable. The building has an old tiled roof with end brick chimneys and stands two storeys tall with four windows.
On the first floor, there are 12 or 16-pane sash windows, along with a late 19th-century window to the left. The ground floor includes three 16-pane sash windows set in moulded architraves, and an early 19th-century wooden doorcase that features an open pediment, brackets, reeded pilasters, panelled reveals, and a six-fielded panelled door. The guttering is adorned with lions' head masks, and there is a string course and plinth. The interior has not been inspected.
